When Mary Magdalene fled the Holy Land, legend says she took refuge in a cave near St Maximin. Mary Magdelane's crypt is said to contain the relic of her skull. On a side note - can you imagine filling in forms with the town you live in called Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume?!
